Renovation has begun!

Tuesday, June 28, 2011

We have started the renovation of the rec room - framing out closet, building wall, replacing doors and refinishing concrete floor (formerly ugly contractor tile).  Floopy seems to love the concrete.

Hardware Update

Wednesday, June 22, 2011

Hi Friends!  So in my absence I see that I've gotten a lot of hardware inquiries. We are working on getting these out to the residential market. If you're interesting in purchasing any of the designs, please email me at jess@nesteaglerock.com.  Thanks!

Whaddup

Man, has it been a while since I posted.... well at least a while since I posted regularly with any kind of thought process behind the post.  Here's a little snippet of what I've been up to.

A bit of a baby moon in Carmel-by-the-Sea (where we forgot our Camera - hence the stock photo)
Vegas Baby... literally....Boutique 18 award and bash.
 Palm Springs for Cori's bachelorette
 Norcal trip camping
Cheese touring at Weirauch Farms (along with Spring Hill Cheese, Marin French Cheese Co, and Cowgirl Creamery)!
Some R&R at the Elk Cove Inn in Mendocino
Fun times and a beautiful wedding by the Bay.

Floral Inspiration

Took a short jaunt to the flower district yesterday for the Wilson Foundation luncheon.  Here's our color palette. I think they will be quite nice.

Lately

Tuesday, June 7, 2011

Have been running around like a chicken with my head cut off. I'm hoping July will be more calm. We did recently get our breakfast table though which is exciting!

Better late than never

A selection of photos from the Venice Home and Garden Tour that my mother in law and I went on a few weeks back.  Yes, those are booties in that photo - they actually made us take of our shoes AND wear booties in one home.  A little excessive no?

Weekend Fun

Lounging on the patio over Memorial Day

Fiberglass Wicker

Friday, May 27, 2011

So if you recall, our breakfast room looks like this  I think I have decided to do white cabinets and maybe grey or charcoal walls.
We are getting this tulip-style round table from CB2 delivered this weekend.
I would like to eventually put in a L-shaped bench seat against the window and the wall.  We would then need two fun chairs to put at the table to complete the look. No, I am not keeping the black leather deals that I got from my old office. They could be nice to paint and reupholster, but the way these babies are constructed they are not a DIY job. So craigslist, here they come.  Now, on to the new chairs. I think some fiberglass wicker numbers in a fun color could be just what the doctor ordered.  Beach Bungalow 8 recently featured them over on her blog and had some fun concept images:

My friend Leigh forwarded me two manufacturers of fiberglass images.  Their images are not quite so fun - well perhaps fun in a retro / ironic sort of way. But the pricing seems pretty reasonable.

What are your thoughts?

Hi Friends!

Thursday, May 26, 2011

Sorry I've been so absent lately. Been rather busy these few weeks with a trip to Vegas to show my new hardware line, accept my Boutique 18 award, see other new fabulous products, catch up with old friends etc.....and then a baby moon in Carmel (forgot my camera, but hope to have some photos to post from friends soon).

Next on the docket will be a Palm Springs Bachelorette (can't wait to do some antiquing and check out the great hotels that I keep hearing about) as well as a NorCal camping, cheese-mongering, wedding partaking tour.  So the blog posting will most-likely be sparse, and I apologize in advance.  But let me know if there are any new amazing things out there to blog about and I'll try to post.  Here is a picture that a coworker took of me and Inlight CEO Lindsay Lau at her booth introducing my hardware.

Hardware

Tuesday, May 17, 2011

Hi Everyone!  I apologize for the lack of posts recently. It's been crazy at work and I'm off to HD (the Hospitality Design Trade Show) in Vegas tomorrow where my new hardware lines Nest Studio for Inlight will be launching. Called Facets and Transparencies respectively they are a play on shapes and the solidity of brass and glass. Here's a little preview. Wish me luck!
