Hi Folks! It's been a while since I updated you on the Urban Farmhouse project I have been working on in LA. Can you believe it's almost done? A while back I posted a bunch of concept boards mainly for spaces that involved lots of finishes (Master bath, kids bath, powder, kitchen, guest bath). Well, I sort of fell of the wagon and forgot to post anything beyond that. Now that we are close to move-in and install I figured I should probably show you some photos that involve decor. As you may have seen from my instagram of my recent shopping trip to LA, the house has a beautiful living dining space that is open to the kitchen. Here is the kitchen board from a while back.
Here is the basic idea of what we are doing in the living. and dining area.
A few things have changed along the way and we have already done some shopping for art and vintage pieces to mix in that will give it an even more collected and layered vibe. I can't wait to show you how it all comes together! And here are a few progress photos so you can imagine with your minds eye how everything will look...
Stay tuned for more spaces in the coming weeks!

IN THE WORKS: Airy Living and Play Space
Wednesday, June 10, 2015
Recently an old college friend contacted me about designing the living room in her Washington DC town home. She has a great open, airy space and wanted the living room to stay pretty open and clean and also be able to use the space for playing with her young daughter. She wanted to keep some key pieces like her new sofa and lounge chairs but otherwise had a fairly blank slate. We have a mutual love of everything Schoolhouse Electric (see my diaper bag post here), so I had a pretty good idea of what she wanted. Here are some photos of how her space looks currently.
There wasn't much to alter about the layout but we did add some built-ins in the front for toy storage and display and a cozy window seat for reading.
Below is the design board I created for the space! Can't wait to get this going and show you some after photos!
