HARDWARE INSTALLED: A Modern Kitchen

Thursday, March 19, 2015

Hi Everyone! Earlier this week I shared some photos of a before & after where designer Lisa Winig used our T-02 knob.  Today Terry Haskett is showing us her kitchen where she has used the F-01-L pull in satin brass.  The white and walnut with the brass and amazing back-lit onyx backspash is stunning. Great job Terry!

If you have photos of our hardware installed, please send them our way!

DESIGN BLUEPRINT: Productive Style

Wednesday, March 18, 2015

While I hope you're all getting an awesome and productive start to your week, what I really hope for is that you're doing it in style.

Take a cue from this office and keep it simple. Often times, the more put together and clutter-free your office space, the more productive you'll be there.

BEFORE AND AFTER: Lisa Winig Design

We've been getting a lot of great installed shots recently from some of the designers we work with.  I can't wait to share them with you as we receive them. First up is a before and after sent to us by Lisa Winig.  A lot of people would consider this room to be pretty nice as it is:

But when you look at the after photos you really realize how much the built-ins add and what a vast improvement the new furniture arrangement is.  Lisa used our T-02 knob on the built-ins and they really inject a little touch of sparkle.

Thanks for sharing your beautiful project Lisa!

ATTIC PROJECT COMPLETE

Thursday, March 12, 2015

Probably about a month ago, I shared some photos of our unfinished attic which we were turning into a play space. Since then the progress has been fast and furious.  It's actually been complete for a couple of weeks now but I've been putting on the finishing touches (and of course the kids have already christened the carpet with various bodily fluids). And I've finally gotten around the photographing it (and organizing it multiple times).  Here is the before:

Here is the space in progress with sub-floor going in.

And framing

And then post sheetrock and paint.

And the final product!  My GC did a great job matching our downstairs stair railing and while I'm generally not a fan of carpet, it is so nice under foot and works reallywell in a play room (also the most economical). And of course it's nice not to be stepping on Bryan's toy trains down in our work space any more.

I got these great toy shelves from PB Kids that works so well for coraling toys yet keeping them visible (no dark bins and baskets you have to pull out)

I also repurposed some colored clothespins that I made for an 80's party as a fun way to hang Bryan's artwork in the space.
What projects do you have going on for spring?

DESIGN BLUEPRINT: Textural Thinking

Thursday, March 5, 2015

There's no such thing as too much texture in any design space.  Take a look at this living room designed by Sarah Yates from A House in the Hills.
While there may seem to be an abundance of leather, wood and textiles, it's quite perfect actually. The key is to balance all of this texture with a smooth concrete floor and clean white walls.

IN THE PRESS: In Style Magazine

Monday, March 2, 2015

It's a tiny feature (like, literally, tiny on the page), but a write-up is a write up. Our Classic-02 Pulls and Facet-02 knob in satin brass were featured in this month's In Style Closet Boot Camp.
Can you spot them on the spread?
Here is a close up:
Super exciting to be featured in such a high profile wide-reaching magazine!
